Generational curses

Cleveland Ohio is known for the city of rock and roll, but over the years it hasnt been rocking very much. Cleveland is one of the worst cities in the country to suffer from poverty. There are interviews of local barbers who express their thoughts about the working poor in Cleveland and America in general. One man express his thoughts on how he use to have a reliable manufacturing job until machines changed industrialization completely. There is an interview of a ex-felon who is struggling to find a job, because of his felony record.


Helping With Food

The video tells the story of volunteers at the Hunger Food Network of Greater Cleveland helping people in need. This video demonstrates the need for a food bank in Cleveland, where so many people go hungry night.

People are allowed to use the food bank’s service once a month. In addition to food, the food bank also provides clothing, medical supplies and toiletries. Volunteers get together and fill bags with food for Cleveland’s hungry.

Too Poor to Account for

Poverty can and is happening for many reasons. There are those who accuse people in poverty of messing up their lives somehow or not working hard enough to keep themselves out of poverty.

Poverty is often the result of a combination of circumstances. It can be generational, where children and grandchildren are born into it and lack the skills, resources, and education to get out of it. Other people drop from middle or upper class to poverty because of health problems, medical bills, layoffs, or poor money management.
